Betek Purakril Silk

Thanks to the special pigments and binding system of Purakril Silk, its vivid organic colors are as resistant to fading as any inorganic color. With its modified silicone pure acrylic binding system that ensures a high level of UV resistance, both its colors and its colors’ brightness last for years. Thanks to the special silicone structure of Purakril Silk with superior hydrophobic quality, the wall's internal moisture is removed so that any peeling of the paint is prevented. As the formula has been developed for the severest climatic conditions, the paint comes as integrated completely with the surface, lasting for years. With Purakril Silk, surfaces gain a silky-matte shine. And, with this ideal brightness ensured for this building physics, colors are more vivid and surfaces are more aesthetic. The technology utilized by Purakril Silk enables the paint to stretch as the surface does, and prevents the formation of invisible micro- and hair-cracks over the surface with its improved elastic structure. Purakril Silk may be used as a textured top-coat paint without thinning as it can be applied as smooth paint. Due to its high binder ratio, it forms a CO2 (carbon dioxide) barrier. Purakril Silk prevents corrosion, protects concrete, and does not absorb any external water thanks to its CO2 impermeability. Can be used safely especially on exposed concrete surfaces due to its higher performance than other exterior paints and the CO2 barrier that it forms. Easy to apply since Purakril Silk spreads perfectly over< the surface, providing savings in both time and labor. Has high coverage. Minimum splashing and dripping during application.

Application Surfaces

Purakril Silk can be applied on acrylic- and mineral-based surfaces, plasters, concrete, exposed concrete, pre-cast concrete panels, faded but yet still self-supporting old painted ready-plaster surfaces. Ensure to smoothen the imperfections on the application surface. Purakril Silk should be applied to the surface only after applying Purakril Primer. Recommended to apply colored primer for colors with low coverage warning. More than two top coats may be required for colors with low coverage warning.

Consumption

6-10 m² single coat per liter for smooth look depending on the type, absorbency and structure of the application surface.1.3 to 2.0 m2 single coat per kilogram for grained look. Perform a controlled sample run to estimate the precise consumption.
