Aqua Reno® Varnish

Aqua Reno Universal Varnish is a two-component, water-based polyurethane protective coating engineered to deliver superior durability. Formulated as a clear, semi-matte finish, it is specifically designed for horizontal surfaces, as well as high-performance vertical applications coated with Aqua Reno Universal paint. The coating forms a robust protective barrier that enhances scratch, impact, and mechanical resistance while providing anti-slip properties and stain resistance. Additionally, it offers high thermal and chemical resistance, alongside complete impermeability to water, moisture, and steam.

Application Surfaces

Aqua Reno® Varnish is applied to enhance the mechanical and chemical performance of the following surfaces:

• Bathroom Surfaces: Tiles and floor tiles coated with Aqua Reno Universal, bathroom cabinets, countertops, shower enclosures, washing machine/dryer surfaces, PVC, plexiglass, glass, and panel doors.

• Kitchen & General Surfaces: Tiles, floor tiles, countertops (granite, marble, wood, quartz, etc.) coated with Aqua Reno Universal, kitchen cabinets, raw wood, lacquered surfaces, home appliances, inox surfaces, parquet flooring, PVC windows, glass, and panel doors.

SURFACE PREPARATION & MIXING RATIO

• New Surfaces: Can be applied directly onto surfaces where Aqua Reno Universal has fully dried (at least 4 hours after the final paint coat).

• Previously Painted / Varnished Surfaces: Ensure surfaces are completely clean and free from dust, dirt, and grease. Cleaning with a 1:1 mixture of water and white vinegar is recommended. After cleaning, lightly sand the surface with 220-grit sandpaper and remove all dust before varnish application.

• Mixing Ratio: Combine Component A and Component B thoroughly at a 4:1 ratio by weight.

Important Note: Prepare only the required amount per application. The mixture has a pot life of 2 hours and cannot be stored. A fresh mix must be prepared for the second coat.

APPLICATION METHOD & COVERAGE

•Application Tools: Recommended to apply in 2 coats using a velvet roller. Clean tools with water immediately after application.

•Theoretical Spreading Rate: 18–22 m²/kg per single coat (Varies depending on surface porosity, texture, and application method; a sample test is recommended for precise consumption).

DRYING TIMES (at 20°C / 68°F and 65% Relative Humidity)

•Touch Dry: 1 Hour

•Recoat Interval: 6 Hours

•Light Foot Traffic / Usability: 24 Hours

•Full Chemical & Mechanical Cure: 21 Days

Caution: Lower temperatures and higher humidity levels will extend drying times. Handle surfaces with care during the first 7 days, avoiding harsh household cleaners.

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Shelf life is 1 year. Seal the container airtight immediately after use.
